Bereavement

Bereavement is a part of life that affects us all at some point.

Grieving is a normal response to the death someone you know, especially if you were close to that person, and you may experience a range of distressing emotions associated with your loss.

There is no 'right way' to grieve and no 'normal' time by which you should feel better - every person is different and responds differently to grief.

If you feel that you would benefit from support to manage your grief and find other ways of coping with your loss, then we may be able to help:

  • We offer regular online Coping with Bereavement workshops, to attend please register here
  • Arrange an individual appointment by completing our self-referral form or by calling our service - 0300 123 1503

You can also find more information on NHS Choices and in Our useful resources and links.
