Wellbeing Walks – Dereham

Event types

  • Social Event

Summary

Join us for a wander along the Ted Ellis walk, a short, easy wander crossing Scarning Meadows, a county wildlife site rich in biodiversity. The walk is mostly accessible but in some weather conditions the terrain may be boggy/uneven.

After the walk we are offered refreshments at Dereham Cancer Care in Baldings Yard off Cowper Road where you are welcome to join us from 11.30am, even if you haven't attended the walk. Dereham Cancer Care is accessible, with toilets available here and throughout Dereham Town.

There are various free car parks around the town centre however many have time restrictions so please check before you park.

Parking at the Dereham Shopping Centre car park from Commercial road is free for 3 hours. Cherry Tree car park on Theatre Street is free all day. Buses going to Dereham Market Place are just a few minutes walk from our starting point.

Our socials are not a therapy session, but a chance to connect with like-minded people in an informal and relaxed setting. Anyone aged 16+ is welcome with no need for referral or booking, just turn up! All of our socials are free to attend.
