My Cancer Diagnosis and Me
This workshop looks at the impact a cancer diagnosis has on your mental health.
A Cancer diagnosis can affect your emotional health and wellbeing in many different ways. Everyone will experience different worries and anxieties, and this can happen at any time during a cancer experiences.
Feeling anxious or low is very common and we experience different worries and anxieties throughout the cancer experience.
This online workshop explores the links between the physical and psychological symptoms of cancer, the cycle that can develop, and how we can change this cycle to feel better.
As a patient experience informed workshop, we aim to provide support and information for anyone who has recently been diagnosed with cancer.
Various support options available to you will be discussed within the workshop.
This session is suitable for all who want to know more about their emotional wellbeing and the impact of a cancer diagnosis.

You will need to book in at least 48 hours before a workshop is due to start.
This session is an online presentation, where you log in on your computer, phone or tablet. A clinician will present the workshop via webcam. You will not be seen by other attendees and you can ask questions to the facilitator in real time via a chat function that is private and not visible to the rest of the group.
This workshop can be accessed by itself or in conjunction with other treatment within the Wellbeing service.
The workshop content focuses on resources and information to help the general public maintain good emotional and psychological wellbeing and is not designed to offer specialist mental health support for those with more severe and enduring mental health problems.
